Below is a list of vendor and participant categories. Please select the category that best fits you, then click the corresponding link for more information and to access the application information.

We encourage you to apply early because many categories fill up quickly. Once your application is submitted, the Fair Chair for your category will review it and send a confirmation if you are approved. As the Fair approaches, you will receive additional details and updates.

Art Show & Sale

Wall Art & Sculpture

We warmly invite Artists to take part in the Bluemont Fair Art Show & Sale, held upstairs at the historic E.E. Lake Store. For more than 50 years, the Bluemont Fair has been a cherished country tradition, drawing thousands of visitors each year. The Art Show & Sale highlights the remarkable talent of our local art community and gives artists the opportunity to showcase their work.

We invite artists to participate by invitation only.

Authors

Local

We invite local authors to reserve a free booth in the Authors’ section, where they can engage with Fair visitors, share their work, and offer their books for sale. It’s a great opportunity to connect with readers and be part of a cherished community tradition.

Bake Sale (and Preserves)

Consignors

Each year, the Bluemont Fair hosts a popular Giant Bake Sale featuring individually packaged homemade treats provided by consignors. Jams, jellies, and pickles are also permitted, but only if your kitchen is certified by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS).

The Fair sells all baked goods, with 80% of the sale price going to the baker and 20% retained to support the Fair.

Children’s Fair & Young Entrepreneurs

Ages 6-17

The Children’s Fair is a free, dedicated area designed especially for younger fairgoers. It features games, crafts, face painting, and a variety of kid-friendly activities.

Within this space, the Young Entrepreneur section gives aspiring young business owners the chance to showcase and sell their products or services at a discounted vendor rate. Participants set up and manage their own booths, gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurship in a fun and supportive environment.

Crafts, Juried

100% Handmade, Non-Food Items

We warmly welcome Craft Artisans to sell their 100% handmade items, emphasizing exceptional workmanship, originality, and creativity. Whenever possible, we encourage the use of all-natural materials. A committee reviews all applications to ensure eligibility and uphold our standards.

If we approve your application, you must provide proof of Vendor and Exhibitor Insurance.

Fiber Arts

Artisans & Animals

This section of the Fair celebrates fiber animals, including sheep, alpacas, rabbits, and goats, along with the art of fiber crafts. Fiber Artists showcase their skills through live demonstrations and offer handmade products for sale, including yarn, textiles, and other unique creations.

If we approve your application, you must provide proof of Vendor and Exhibitor Insurance.

Food

Concessionaire & Specialty

The Bluemont Fair is on the lookout for unique, high-quality foods, with a strong preference for locally sourced ingredients!

Food Concessionaires: Vendors with products that are prepared on-site for consumption on-site

Specialty Foods: Vendors with a limited product line that are not intended to be consumed on-site

Market Place

Local Small Businesses

The Market Place brings together the former “Antiques & Fleas” and “Local Business” categories into a single vendor area, located near the food court and Beer & Wine Garden for maximum visibility.

This space welcomes:

  • Vendors from any location selling antiques, collectibles, and unique finds.
  • Local businesses offering products that reflect the charm of a country fair. “Local” includes Loudoun, Clarke, and Jefferson counties.

This area allows local businesses to participate in the Fair while enhancing its traditional appeal.

Nonprofit

Charitable & Philanthropic Organizations

We offer discounted Fair spaces to registered nonprofit organizations that want to share information about their mission or sell items to support fundraising efforts. This is a great opportunity to engage with the community and raise awareness for your cause.

If we approve your application, you must provide proof of Vendor and Exhibitor Insurance.

Rides & Entertainment

Ticketed Activities

Ticketed Rides and Entertainment include activities such as pony rides, rock climbing walls, and similar attractions. Vendors in this category pay a fee for their space at the Fair, sell their own tickets, and keep all proceeds from ticket sales.

Sponsorship

Advertising Opportunities

Supporting the Fair as a Sponsor gives you the opportunity to showcase your products or services to Fair patrons while helping our community provide scholarships, assist neighbors in need, and support historic preservation and beautification efforts.

Platinum Sponsors may choose to set up a booth at the Fair; if so, proof of Vendor and Exhibitor Insurance is required.
