Bluemont Fair 2025 Announces Poster Design Contest Winner

The Snickersville Academy 100 Year Anniversary By Addie Moore

The organizers of the 55th Annual Bluemont Fair are excited to announce the winner of the 2025 poster design contest. Addie Moore, a talented artist from Hillsboro, Virginia, created this year’s winning design. She owns The Springhouse Studio and is also known for the colorful mural on the Purcellville Family Restaurant in Purcellville, VA.

The fair will take place on September 20–21, 2025, in the village of Bluemont, located in Loudoun County.

This year’s fair celebrates the 200th anniversary of the Snickersville Academy. Built in 1825, the academy served as Bluemont’s first one-room schoolhouse and church. Over time, it became a symbol of the village’s early history. In 2010, community members lovingly restored the building. As a result, it now includes a walking path, a small footbridge, and a peaceful garden.

Addie’s artwork beautifully reflects this year’s theme. Moreover, it highlights the charm, character, and deep roots of Bluemont, Virginia. Judges selected her piece from a wide variety of submissions. In fact, artists of all ages from across the region entered the contest.

As the winner, Addie will see her artwork featured on the official Bluemont Fair 2025 poster, T-shirts, and other fair memorabilia. Her design will serve as a lasting tribute to both local art and local history.

Outside the studio, Addie enjoys reading and spending time with her dogs. You can follow or contact her on Instagram: @the.springhousestudio.

Since 1969, the Bluemont Fair has taken place every third weekend in September. Although organizers paused the fair in 2020 due to the pandemic, the event remains a beloved Loudoun County tradition. Each year, it brings together artists, musicians, local vendors, and families for a weekend of celebration.
