Poster Art Competition
Each year, organizers of the annual Bluemont Fair in historic Western Loudoun County, VA, invite artists of all ages and abilities to submit designs for consideration for that year’s unique poster and T-shirt.
The theme for 2025 was the 200th anniversary of Snickersville Academy. Built in 1825, this charming log structure, which sits on the banks of Butcher’s Branch, served as the village’s first one-room schoolhouse and church. Lovingly restored in 2010, with a community-maintained walking lane, bridge, and garden, Snickersville Academy now serves as a focal point of Bluemont’s early history. More information is available on the Bluemont Heritage website. Visitors are also welcome to visit the Academy (see the historical marker on Snickersville Turnpike in the heart of the village).
Thank you to everyone who participated by submitting their art for the contest. We are pleased to announce the winner is Addie Moore of The Springhouse Studio. View past designs online at www.bluemontfair.org.
