Blacksmith Demonstrations

We’re excited to have Eric Zieg, an experienced blacksmith and demonstrator at Mt. Vernon, joining us at the Bluemont Fair. With years of experience, he expertly teaches visitors about the blacksmith’s role in history. Visit him in Stone’s Field to see his craft in action!

Authors

Visit Mountain Meadow Place to meet local authors and chat about their books. Browse a variety of titles, from children’s picture books to novels and local history, and take home a few for yourself!

Artisan Demonstrations

Artisans demonstrate their skills throughout the Bluemont Fair. Watch pottery being thrown, wood turned, baskets woven, and more. Try weaving, spinning yarn, or quilting as you explore the village.

Archaeologist

We are fortunate to have David Clark, a professional archaeologist and college professor, at the Fair with fascinating archaeological finds from our region. Stop by his hands-on table in Mountain Meadow Place to learn more about bones, weapons, and tools discovered right here in Loudoun County.

Model Trains

Step inside the Bluemont Community Center (second floor) to visit our extensive model train display! Children love to see the running trains and investigate the interesting layouts. We are delighted to have Northern Virginia NTRAK with us.

Petting Zoo

Included with Fair admission is entrance to our petting zoo in Stone’s Field. Kids can step inside and pet their favorite critters!
